Backquote: The five senses obstruct or deform the apprehension of reality.
Jorge L. Borges
My reply: A Borges quotation is never a bad thing but I think your question mark is well placed. The quote bears a strong resemblance to something written a long time ago by William Blake, was reused by Aldous Huxley, and gave The Doors the inspiration for their name. If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.
I am getting all kinds of strange error messages trying to post this reply with what seems to be ordinary formatting so will strip it down to plain text and leave it up to you to decipher it. My favorite error message: The NoClient field should represent a numeric value.
UPDATE: I copied the entire reply, backed out of the message, switched temporarily to a different post, came back, and pasted the copied text into a new reply. No problem. Something very strange in the innards of the UT software. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. In many years on the UT this is the only really strange thing that has happened to me.
