>Have you watched Elementary? Sorry, but I find her really annoying. The guy is way too over the top for me, but she's just annoying. Maybe it's the character rather than she, but whatever it is, it's annoying. I find the show very unenjoyable.

I watched one or two episodes at the beginning and it was ok but I relegated it to the "someday when it is all on Netflix I'll see if I can get into it". She was just sort of there in that first or second episode and I don't remember much of an impression one way or the other. Haven't even looked in since so don't know what they are up to now.

I have discovered "Scandal" (beginning on Netflix) and am very surprised it is much better than I had thought. Storyline quite interesting. A couple of the actors quite compelling. Definitely one like Breaking Bad where it is important to start with episode one and watch them in sequence.

Currently Sons of Anarchy (Hamlet on Harleys) is keeping me going until Justified and The Americans return in January. (and of course Boardwalk Empire and Homeland)

Speaking of Netflix - Kevin Spacey in House of Cards really is good. (and I am big fan of the Brit original)

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
