>See if Tools/Options/Projects & Solutions/General : 'Track Active Item in Solution Explorer' has the same setting.

If it would be related to that, that would mean there was a default up until 2012 which no longer applies to 2013. This is a setting I have never heard from.

I cannot compare anymore as 2012 has been removed.
