Agreeing with Craig: unless you have proof positive via measuring conversion process on two otherwise identical test machine to be one of the few cases to be better suited for AMD, go for Intel if you aim for highest perf.

>Having Narrowed down Down, I am now confronted with two options for processors AMD vs INTEL.
>Speed is my Prime critera. I need to process 70000-80000 file to convert into jpeg/PDF.
>I tried the same on Core I3 Intel processor,8 GB RAM,500 GB HDD but after certain time my PC Hanged after 10-15 percent or some time after the software stopped responding.

>>I forgot to comment on buy vs. build. I gave up building my own PCs a long time ago. It's just not worth my time. I also find the quality of prebuilt machines has increased a lot. Having said that, I would stay away from HP. I've seen studies from companies that do third party warranty repair that shows HP has more warranty repairs than any major brand. I've bought Dell for years and found them highly reliable. I also recently bought my first Lenovo and have used others that my employer bought and like their quality too.
