If you create a simple form (VFP base form) (or program) and add all these views and again do that change of PK to propagate down - do you get the same problem? Also, do the extra aliases get open in this case or not?

That is most definitely not a practical solution. The application runs using VPM. I can not tract anything down using VFP base classes because they would not run VPM's RI handling routine.
