I believe if you set your installation setup procedure to have a requisite on that one, the Setup.exe will know automatically which file to recommand the client to install. When VS was supporting Install Shield, this is what I was doing. So, depending on the platform, when comes time to install, the prequisite will kick in and request missing component(s), if applicable. With the latest two versions of VS, there is no more install component. So, a third party software may be used but the same would apply.
