When you mention Pat Benatar what I think of first is seemingly every single woman in America in the early 1980s wearing her hair like Pat Benatar. I don't care for her music during that early period, though you can see some promise in her.
In the mid and late 1980's you can see some definite maturity in her work. Here's a really good one that never hit the commercial radar, but was a gem:
