That was a poor choice of words on his part. He should have said you can keep your current insurer. But their plans will need to change to abide to the minimum standard.
Being the huge Obama fan you are, you may appreciate this. It even gave me a smile. There was an article in the paper this morning about the annual Presidential pardon of two turkeys. (For the second year, they were selected by online voting on social media). It went into what happens to the pardoned turkeys. They go to a farm "to live out their days." It said all the turkeys pardoned by Obama have died by the age of 2 ;-)
