>>Walter, while speculation, I strongly believe that had all dozen polls 4 years ago and all dozen polls more recently come back with 55-70% of physicians supporting AHCA, neither of you would be saying a word about any conclusions that U.S. physicians support AHCA.

>Kevin, I do not know the details about the polls and on anything that went wrong etc. What I do know is that universal Healthcare is the only way to go. Let me remind you that the average american pays 2 or 3 times as much for their Healthcare Insurance than for example in Canada while he buys only below average coverage and quality. Only the rich can afford themselves good Healthcare.

A good idea gone bad. It is not universal healthcare coverage but a forced purchase of limited benefits. It forces the individual to pay for something and be fined even if they cannot. Instead it should have been implemented as a tax on employment if at all. The website is a complete failure. I visited it today and tried to assist someone in applying. What a joke. It's an embarrassment to programmers. At first glance it appears to be very basic and easy to maneuver around. It's not. When you save, it doesn't save the items you checked but rather unchecked items in many cases. If you try to edit it states that is deleting the original information but when you review you now have double information - the old and new in the few cases where you can edit. One example: enter a typo in the family names. There is no mechanism for editing family members once they are added. No mechanism for deleting them either. Also entered the address of the person applying as a mailing address, checked no home address box and the system then notifies you that the address fields must be filled out. What is the "No home address" checkbox for then? Checked the box that no one was assisting the individual with completing the form and was then prompted with "You answered someone is assisting you with completing this application. You must enter the name and address of the expert assisting you." Went back to review the data in each section and in many cases multiple answers are now checked where only one is allowed. It's CRAZY. I cannot believe what a mess it is! I started a chat window asking for assistance and went through two "helpers" who both informed me that we would need to call the exchange directly to fix the problem. Uh, calling the exchange only brought us to an automated phone system much worse than the website. Whoever worked on this website should walk away in shame. I could not believe how terrible it is. The worst part is that you cannot continue with errors that you cannot fix and anything you enter requires you to sign your life away with threat of legal action for incorrect information. If you are not approved or the form is rejected for any reason your only option is to start the appeal process. We finally just created a new login and started over. Now I am wondering how many of their applications are folks creating multiple logins for the same reason?

One thing that really upset me about the whole thing is it is clear from the "chat helpers" and the automated phone system and the questions that "undocumented" people in this country get expedited assistance and greater financial assistance. Just fill out the questions and see for yourself.

And just recently many lost their healthcare. The media coverage on all of those instance being due to insufficient coverage is utter nonsense in many cases. I know of folks who lost their coverage and that coverage met the new requirements. Lower coverage cost them much more on the exchange. Then the rules changed and insurance companies were allowed to continue policies with another year to comply. However, suddenly the cost of that same policy rose to 250% of the original cost just two months ago before the notice it was being discontinued.

This healthcare law is an utter disaster and complete embarrassment. I do not blame Obama believe it or not. It was a good idea that went bad a long time ago when they started giving concessions and waivers and it morphed into what it is now.

Bring in the Swedes!!!!
