Is Staples a reputable dealer? If I call MS I will tell them all I think about their company and it won't be nice <g>. I will probably call Toshiba support tomorrow and if I get nowhere I will return the notebook. I know I will pay the restocking fee but since Windows 8 sucks and upgrade to Windows 8.1 sucks even more (although maybe 8.1 is ok) it will save a lot of aggravation. I know you like MS products and you have been always very helpful so I don't want to offend you. Otherwise, I would use some bad language here <g>.
Actually I was reading many posts on various message boards today and the only consolation for me is that I am not alone in hating MS.
