>>Sad that someone as intelligent and accomplished as he is will be known for very judgment and then lying about it.
Actually Clinton was an invited keynote speaker at the HIMSS conference earlier this year. The place was packed with thousands of attendees. Standing room only. Ask Mike Beane if he has a photo- I'd never seen anything like it at a professional conference. As he spoke about the people he met and the things he'd experienced during his attempt at healthcare reform, I doubt anybody was interested in his trying to escape the consequences of a selfish sordid act long ago. Even those who vote Republican were interested in his recollections.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
