Not to reflexively turn it back to myself but it does remind me of an incident when Allie was young. I was driving her to a skating lesson when a city bus cut us off. "A*****e," my little passenger said. "Allie, where did you learn that word?!" I said. "From my mom." There was no encouragement from me to continue using it but I was partially impressed that she used it appropriately.
