When I go to the Charms bar (Windows -C) and click on Search it only finds Office 2010 Language preferences. But no Excell or Word.
When you are saying "added to the Start screen" how should it have worked? Is Start screen the main Metro screen where Windows 8 should have placed a tile for Office 2010?

>Sounds like it wasn't added to the Start screen. You can search for it in the Charms bar. When found, right-click on it for options.

>>I installed MS Office 2010 on Windows 8.1 from the DVD. But how can I bring it to use or place a desktop shortcut (when using Windows 8.1 desktop)? I see a tile on the Metro (is this what I should call the default Windows 8 "desktop"?) a tile Office but it prompts me to buy 386 or new version. But I simply want to use the MS Office 2010 I just installed. What am I missing?
