I use the library as much as I can, and for the first time in my life, am actually regularly requesting books I want to read through inter-library loan. (While each township in my county runs its own library system, they're integrated to provide county-wide borrowing.)

I have also been using the library more. When there is a book I want to read I check the library first. The problem is that it is small library first with limited selection. They used to have a good inter-library system with other libes in Lake County but that went away with the local budget cutbacks.

Plus I flirt a little with the librarians and they all smile when I show up. That's worth a trip to the library by itself ;-) The flirtation is minimal and we mostly talk about books. I get some good tips from them and occasionally they get some tips from me. Even a librarian can't read every book.
