I resisted getting an e-reader for a long time, but when we were heading off to Europe for a vacation last spring, I realized that having a reader would me carrying one lightweight device instead of 6-8 actual books. Because I got the Nook with the built-in light, I also appreciate the ability to read in bed when my husband is sleeping.

These days, I'm splitting my reading between paper and electronic. The fact that I can download library books from home is really handy.
