>>>>>>I have also been using the library more. When there is a book I want to read I check the library first. The problem is that it is small library first with limited selection. They used to have a good inter-library system with other libes in Lake County but that went away with the local budget cutbacks.

I am trying to make her go to the library more, but she "needs" to own the books, I asked her to use her darn Kobo reader, but she "needs" to turn pages for that is the essence of the book, now after donating hundreds of books from when she was a baby/child, still there is no room in her bedroom, I am desperate, I begged her to watch more TV and play more video games!! :)

>>>I find I prefer actual paper because, when I'm bored, I'll grab something I've already read and just open it up and start reading. Kinda hard to do on a Kindle.
>>
>>I resisted getting an e-reader for a long time, but when we were heading off to Europe for a vacation last spring, I realized that having a reader would me carrying one lightweight device instead of 6-8 actual books. Because I got the Nook with the built-in light, I also appreciate the ability to read in bed when my husband is sleeping.
>>
>>These days, I'm splitting my reading between paper and electronic. The fact that I can download library books from home is really handy.

>I do have a Kindle, and I find I use it to read the HUGE books, like "Constantine's Sword" (http://www.amazon.com/Constantines-Sword-Church-Jews-History/dp/0618219080) that might get kinda uncomfortable for wee hands to hold for long periods of time.

>a few years ago, I got hubby the Kindle with the light built into the case and he uses that for reading in bed (among other places)

One thing I like about my reader (not a Kindle; a Kobo Aura HD, and previously a Sony) is that when I'm nearing the end of say the 1st or 2nd book in a trilogy, I don't have to also start carrying around the next book too.
