>I would like to start using Less CSS pre-compiler (after reading about it online). But then I read that in order to use Less with VS 2012 you need to install Web Essentials 2012. And then I read (in comments) that Web Essentials will not work with VS 2012 Web Express (which I have). Can I still use LESS without Web Essentials?

While studying LESS I found that there is also SCSS which offers very similar functionality as CSS pre-processor. From the training course on Pluralsight it appeared to me that incorporating LESS into VS 2012 (and probably 2013) is easier than SCSS. Do you agree?

What is the preference of gurus here, LESS or SCSS?

UPDATE: I realized that - maybe - deciding factor for whether I will use LESS or SASS/SCSS is which one of the two preprocessors is supported by my hosting provider (Discountasp.net). I just sent an email question to Discountasp.net support regarding this.
