>>>I have versions of this with nvl(field, "") as field, without semicolons, with comma moved to precede the next line - which isn't too hard to add. It's just plain generated text anyway. So I just type "fieldlist" in an empty line, and I get a full list of fields. I only need to add Select before, and From... Into... where... after it.

SuperBrowse which comes with Thor?

There are some updates to SuperBrowse just released today (a few hours ago).
If you double click on any row in a grid, you will get a form that lets you edit all fields (unless you are in ReadOnly mode).
Since there is no magic way to show all memo fields, they are partially displayed with a command button following that allows you to view/edit the full contents.
