wwSmtp - part of West Wind Client Tools or West Wind Internet Protocols is also an option. Much more in either of those packages than just email though :-)

FWIW, ChilKat is also a good choice, but I would advise against using either Outlook or CDO since those technologies are not always installed. CDO in particular can be a problem due to security restrictions.
