on a Novell network i cannot rename NOTEPAD.EXE

when using VFP and Novell there are problems with the REINDEX command and file locking problems (you cannot LOCK a record in a SHAREd table under certain conditions ) i am not surprised by this difference in the way these networks handle EXE's

If you could post or email the results of your research it would be appreciated

maybe i can find a better work around or atleast know in advance when i am headed for trouble.

TIA
Dave.
