I should have probably ask David Browne from MS the original question :)

Here is his reply:

---------------------------
We now ship full slipstreamed installs of service packs, meaning that it’s a full install of the product, with the service pack installed.

So

SQLServer2012SP1-FullSlipstream-ENU-x64.iso

Is a full install, not a service pack installer.

The service pack installer package to upgrade a 2012 RTM istance to SP1 is

SQLServer2012SP1-KB2674319-x64-ENU.exe

David

which means I downloaded this file for nothing :) and now should go back, download the exe and run it.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
