Environment versions

>>>FWIW, if you use VS for any serious work it's probably worth to invest in a full version of Pro and in some extra tooling like Resharper or CodeRush. If you have *any* previous version of Visual Studio you can upgrade in the Microsoft store for $99 until the end of January.

>>where did you find the *any* version offer or did they change the text ? Not really in need (currently working half in Java) but having an option to switch to current C# for nearly no money might tempt me, if MS online stores in the US sell to europeans...

did some easy checks - after minimal URL mangling I can reach the US store from the old world, and during first tries from the german side a chat offer flowed in - probably the way the other guy contacted. While even over here ZDNet showed that only 2012 version is officially eligible, if I get a direct MS response for older version - why not, as both sides win in my mostly play situation. Bargaining worked long before SW was invented. If you happen to have a link to that post or an idea where/when to search, might give better chances for me to argue.
thx
