Yes, she *may* be. The entire point is trust - the machine must be trustworthy to be useful.

If she's working by herself, she merely has to convince herself it's trustworthy.

If she's in a corporate environment/LAN she'll need to convince the sysadmins that whatever she ends up doing is acceptable. In fact if she's in such an environment the decision is no longer hers, there is probably a policy on what to do in cases like this; she'll need to inform IT support if she decides to do anything other than restore an image backup or rebuild from scratch.
