I have been confused by your question. The speed at which files are copied is limited by disk read/write speeds in my experience. I don't know how it could be faster without caching (which leaves your data in a state of being potentially damaged should there be a power loss or system failure (software or hardware)).

I see the TeraCopy tool. I'll look at it.
