Very funny. ;-) Actually we're a nation of whimps compared to the film. Last year the goverment bought back all our nasty guns so we couldn't be naughty (I'm not a pro-gun person BTW) - cost millions and our tax was increased by 1% to pay for it. This year the gun based crime rate *increased* 34% over last. We even had two drive-by shootings in the last month - unheard of in this country. The lesson? You can't predict how people are going to behave - hype is bigger and better than fact. Logic and reason are studiously avoided by politicians. The Y2K issue is getting just as emotional, so the outcome may not be at all what we expect.
