>>I just began using this the other day and already love it. It is a new wrinkle of Amazon Prime, although unrelated to Amazon Prime's original purpose. IF you are not familiar with it, Amazon Prime gives you unlimited free shipments for $79/year. Not only that, shipments arrive by 2nd Day UPS (and sometimes arrive the next day). I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon so this was an easy decision for me.

>>It just got even better. Amazon Prime Instant Video is a video streaming service. If you have a DVD or Blu-Ray player that can communicate wirelessly with the internet, you can use it. The cost is very reasonable: nothing ;-) Well, nothing additional. It is included in the cost of Amazon Prime. Even if you have no use for the expedited free shipping it is worth it IMO just to use the streaming service There are no monthly fees as there are with Netflix. For this you get access to 40,000 movies and TV shows. Just to get started I grabbed a few from the Popular list -- Flight, Hunger Games, Sons of Anarchy. After hearing a terrific interview with Peter O'Toole on NPR in the car today I searched for and found "My Favorite Year" and added it to the Watchlist (I think that's what they call it).

>>Highly recommended. And much more entertaining than long running debates about the success or failure of THCAWHSY*.

>Same here. I found it on the Vizio CoStar box and then started using it on my Smart tv which has Amazon Prime, Vudu, Hulu Plus, Netflix, etc. Sometimes I never view the cable channels at all... Note: The Co-Star Amazon app is much better than that on the smart tvs....

One thing I find amusing is I found out about it in a letter from Amazon. It was from some VP and said you have a feature available that you haven't used, but maybe you would like to. It was a soft sell and emphasized that there is no additional cost for it. The part I found amusing was receiving a letter in the mail from Amazon.
