On any list of "greatest" Stones songs, just not one of my favorites.

>How can you forget Sympathy for the devil?

>>OK, I will make a top 10 list of my favorite Stones songs. Not to be confused with greatest hits; most of them weren't hits at all. This is limited enough that I don't think I'm overreaching. In no particular order --
>>
>>Gimme Shelter
>>Brown Sugar
>>Satisfaction
>>Moonlight Mile (no hit at all but I love that song)
>>Wild Horses
>>Tumbling Dice
>>When the Whip Comes Down
>>Just My Imagination Running Away with Me
>>Out of Time
>>Bitch
>>Not Fade Away
>>Rip This Joint
>>Dead Flowers
>>Start Me Up
>>Ruby Tuesday (good enough to inspire a restaurant chain name)
>>Let's Spend the Night Together (the Beatles sang "I Want to Hold Your Hand")
>>You Can't Always Get What You Want
>>
>>Yes, I can count. No, I can't cut it down to 10, and don't want to.
>>
>>Some years ago I saw the Stones at Soldier Field, the third time I had seen them. (The first was at the L.A. Coliseum, where the young and virtually unknown Prince was literally pelted off the stage by the Stones crowd). We went with another couple who we were friends with through our daughters. Chester loved the Stones and it was the first time he had seen them. When they tore into "Satisfaction" he called his sister in Arizona or New Mexico or wherever she lived. "Can you turn the music down?" she said. "No, I can't!"
>>
>>Everyone focuses on Mick but to me Keef was the essence of the Stones sound. He shambled around the stage in huge biker boots, a cigarette bogarting from his lower lip, pumping out those power chords we all grew up with.
