>>When trying to download and install VS 2013 Express for Web, the MS download page has two files. One is clearly the actual VS express. But another file is VNS_FULL.EXE. Do you know what it is for? and do I need it?

>dunno if that is the case with VS Exp, but sometimes there are 2 files offered: one installer loading next steps, one full install you can copy to an USB stick and install from there to multiple machines without needeing internet access or further DL

The VNS_FULL.EXE in only 922KB whereas the VS Exp installation file is 487MB. So actually either file can fit on an USB stick very easily. I will keep Googling for the purpose of VNS_FULL.EXE; there has to be a page explaining the purpose. Wouldn't it be nice if MS put on the Download page the purpose of each file.. but that would be too much to ask of MS <g>.
Thank you.
