If you have SSMS installed or SQL Server Business Intelligence, you'll get a VS update because those tools use the VS shell.


>By "crap" I mean things I don't even use. For example, in my initial running of Windows Update I already see Silverlight installed. I never had it and didn't care for it. The "default" checked items on the Windows Update also include stuff like VS 2008 that I don't even have installed. I am still trying to finish the Windows Update update, since I already started. But if all failed to install SP1 I will go with the .EXE (which I already downloaded).
