>>My power came back on 40 minutes ago. 48 hours and 7 minutes after it went out. My advice... avoid the adventure.

>A couple of summers ago I was without power for four days when one of the main power stations in the Chicago area crashed. It was strange. No phone, no computer, no TV. When it got dark there was nothing to do but go to bed. No wonder people before electricity were good conversationalists.
I truly wish it had been summer. It was around minus 4 most of the time that I was without power. That's in real numbers, of course. In your funny numbers it would be just under 25. At night it got a little colder. Fortunately, in my basement I have a gas fireplace, but no light except candles and flashlights, so I spent a lot of time hunkered down there. Fortunately, I had some crackers. Today I threw out everything in my fridge and freezer.
