Ok, here I am bitten by my paranoia of having my stuff available via non-MS means (3rd party backup having MS and linux shells to access the saved stuff or xCopy-style backup via secondary boot/live-linux running. MS trying to lessen the pain of the initial decision is good - still I gnash my teeth when I reset manually to ways I think of as better architecture instead of relying on list based fix-me's ;-))
