>That is a pretty dramatic improvement.

It's a dramatic improvement - and they have some great weapons. Alex Smith is definitely a good QB. Jamaal Charles is a great running back. Tamba Hali and Justin Houston are beasts at the pass rush. Dwayne Bowe is certainly a good WR.

But some areas where they must improve

- They were 2-4 in their own division. That has to improve

- They were 4-0 against the NFC East, which was easily the weakest division in the NFC. (Ironically, when KC went 10-6 in 2010 and won the AFC West, they were 4-0 against an even weaker NFC West). But they were only 7-5 in their own conference, with no conference wins against teams with a winning record.

- Their defensive secondary needs significant improvement. You can't blow a 28 point second half lead against a team with a weak running game, unless your secondary has holes in it.

Their schedule next year will be tougher...they have to play the NFC West, they have to play the Steelers, and every team in the AFC East.
