She and her sister don't live here any more so it's mostly quiet. Too quiet. I need to find a woman even if she isn't my celestial woman.

I am so envious of Emily for having this time in Prague. I have always heard it is one of the world's great cities, full of architecture and history. Along with the study abroad office at UW-Madison, I have encouraged her to embrace it for what it is, not for what it isn't. It has escaped the Soviet bloc but still has one foot in the old world. She said our advisers told us it is still trying to figure out where to go next. She seems to embrace my attitude to experience it as it is. She knows some things we consider basic services will not be present. To me it's a sad thing -- and I have known such people myself -- to try to make it like what you had back home. I don't think she will.

Of course I am envious of her for the opportunity to spread her wings and fly. You go, girl. (Banned phrase but it feels right).
