>Also, I don't see his law suit going anywhere. The likelihood of the court overturning an arbitration ruling in a union contract is almost nil.

That seems to be the overwhelming consensus - that a federal judge will not get involved unless there's clear evidence that the arbitrator made a capricious decision, benefited financially from the decision, etc. Don't think that applies here.

I have 2 questions...one is the same one asked by Bob Costas last night. These baseball players have access to some of the best sports nutritionists and best trainers around. What the HELL where they doing with the phone number of Tony Bosch??? If I worked in an industry that was implementing strict protocols, the LAST thing I'd want to do is even have a record of a single phone call/text message to this guy.

The second question - given the # of laws Bosch has broken, and given the physical threats that allegedly took place - where in god's name was law enforcement? When you list to the sequence of events, the lawyers seemed to be the ones calling the shots. I would not be shocked if, by the time all this gets sorted out, someone involved in the case is charged with obstruction of justice.

The story of A-Rod being banned is just one part of it. You have the legal aspect....you have the issue of A-Rod's contract....you have whether A-Rod will try to force an issue by showing up in spring training and whether Cashman will have the stones to push him to the minor leagues....and then you have the issue of whether MLB violated confidentiality rules in the by-laws of collective bargaining, based on the fact that their agreement with Bosch did not preclude him from running his mouth on 60 Minutes tonight. There is talk that the Union is furious and considering legal action against MLB over this. So the ban for a year is actually just one part of what is a total mess.

There's only one thing I'll predict - A-Rod won't take his medicine. He'll fight this. I wish he'd just take his medicine, but he'll fight it.
