I'm sure more information will come out. The shooter who killed the man is 71 and either had a huge ego or sense of self-importance that got the best of him - and given the man's age, senility isn't totally out of the question.

I realize not all cops are necessarily good cops, though this man was a captain, and that's not an accomplishment to be taken lightly.

Unless there are bigger facts in this case, beyond a box of popcorn being thrown at the shooter, it angers me that a gun owner (especially a retired captain) would be this careless.
