As I said yesterday, if there is something wrong with a controlsource or perhaps a minor coding/object reference problem in a modal-runs-modal form situation, there sometimes is a lockup BEFORE the error can show up (so it never does - I don't know why) But David's solution fo making at least one form modeless is a good one. I avoid modal/modal situations after having the same problem as yours...
