No, I am not saying that age 71 automatically means anything. There are many older than 71 who are able to do what you just described.

But note that my words were "it's not totally out of the question". Because medically, it isn't out of the question - after 65, early dementia and other conditions affect an estimated 5% of the population in that age group.

And given the other news yesterday from New Mexico (that a 12 year old brought a gun to school and shot some of his classmates), clearly this isn't an age thing.
