Maybe you could try sleep instead of hibernation: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows7/sleep-and-hibernation-frequently-asked-questions

You might be able to change sleep or hibernate power plan settings to make the hard drive never power down, but that kind of defeats the purpose of hibernation, and maybe sleep as well.
