>>>Only problem is, my brother and I were raised to stand up to bullies, and so we've had a confrontation or two with them over the years.

>At the end of WWII the troops who came home didn't put up with any nonsense. Disrespecting a woman or being a PITA: you could expect a synchronized rising to their feet of veterans who would assist the culprit to a more suitable locale. Not now- methamphetamine behavior seems widespread.

>If you get a moment, look up Tony S's confrontation in the car with Chris in "The Legend of Tennessee Moltisanti" after Chris pulled a gun in the pastry store. Very smart writing. "Cowboyitis" is what Tony called it from memory, an irrational desire to face the consequences of what you know to be bad behavior.

On the meth-like behavior, my wife and mother-in-law experienced a fight in a parking lot that started as two cars going after a parking spot. That's the kind of thing that really concerns me - people escalating tiny little issues (whether it's a spot in a parking lot or texting in a movie theater) to the point of violence.

I'm insulted that you would imply I'd need to "look up" a Sopranos scene - I've seen all the episodes dozens of times. :)

He didn't just pull the gun in the pastry store - he shot the clerk in the foot.

Christopher's immaturity was a regular theme in the first season - his desire to be recognized as one of the regular gangsters. But digging up the body of the Czech he killed was just beyond stupid.

The one thing that always angered me about the show was when innocent bystanders were harmed. The scene in later years where Christopher and Paulie beat up the waiter and then killed him was just awful. And the scene where Adrianna was beat up was the only time I turned it off - was too much for me.
