I disabled the compression last night. This was the "Enable static content compression" checkbox which I have unchecked.
This morning, at recycle time, I got two more errors for this:
"The directory specified for caching compressed content C:\inetpub\temp\IIS Temporary Compressed Files\Dashboard is invalid. Static compression is being disabled."
I was surprise to see this message come back even if static compression was disabled. "Enable dynamic content compression" is checked however but that option is disabled.
This one is difficult to analyze. I will however verify for the privileges of the application pool account on that directly. What I do not understand is that it is able to work with the Web site but, if that is the cause of the situation, I am wondering why it cannot have access to that specific directory.
