I think it was George Goley who proposed once in that situation to *not* instance controls on non-visible pages on form load, but to wait until a page is activated and then use AddObjects to paint 'em.

Another method I have used to simulate speed is to load up all of the forms (visible=.F.) on application load and then just Show or Hide them as required.
