I agree everyone should be open to learn new things, but as we all experienced, it should not be our goal to learn new things. When I need a job done, I first look into my own comfortable toolbox. If that does not get the job done, I'll look for something better. Its no use to learn to use new tools and hardly ever use them.

Sure, we are keeping our eyes open for the next level, like development platforms like windev, lianja, and others, but we cannot afford with millions of lines of code, hundred thousand hours of work, to blindly jump ship in a time that is the busiest in our existence. Change of development tools is probably the hardest things we have to do in the future.

>Walter,

Ignore him, he can't see outside his own box. Personally I am 59, why should I waste my time learning a new tool when my favorite tool will do the job for at least the time frame which is important for me? I don't need all the new bells and whistles.
