> I am not convinced that C# will be around forever, or at least remain "the god of programming tools". So many things are happening these days, new devices arrive every day, so what's the right tool today may not be the right tool tomorrow.
C# is hailed here on UT and on MS-supported boards more than in the real world - Java, C and C++ are much stronger overall, even if TIOBE is not taken at face value. Esp. switching to C# if asked for pure desktop app gives you not much more, and using C# plus MS tools to create web applications will give you a head up upon vfp, but not above other current tools. And for mobile: MS has repeatedly misfired - or at least hit own and/or dev feet.
>Too early (or too late) for me to change my course.
I'll never create an OS or a best selling game - but I am willing to try out new things and pick up some tricks (or teach them).
