The Bootstrap CSS framework makes it easier to do that stuff. www.getbootstrap.com. Read some tutorials or watch the Pluralsight videos. to get a feel for it. And make sure you look at Bootstrap 3 as it's quite a bit different from earlier versions...and easier and better too.
