I am trying to find the best way to migrate an Oracle 11g DB to SQL Server 2012 on a Windows 08R2 hardened server. Both DB engines are on the same box.

I have tried to set up a connection in SSIS and the connection tests fine, but when I try to import a table the connection fails due to user validation problems. It seems the connection definition will not keep the pw, even though I tell it to save the pw.

I have downloaded MS SQL Server Migration Assistant (5.2) for Oracle, but am unable to get it to install without crashing the server.

It is getting very frustrating at this point. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
