I don't care about the political ramifications, but I do care about the educational ramifications. Vouchers are code for the haves getting more and the have-nots getting less. What we really need to do is commit to our public schools, and live what we say, that kids are our most precious resource. Stop putting so much money into prisons (and the "war on drugs" and wars of choice) and put it instead into educating all our kids.
