Just curious for a comparison -- what if you add all the controls to a new "clean" form with all code blank (all code removed from form and controls). Then create and destroy the form to see how long it takes. This will give you a clue as if it is due to your code somewhere. At least it should give you a baseline of what it takes to destroy the form with all the objects.

If the above was already suggested, sorry for the repeat (I have not read all the responses...)
