That is not comparing workstation versus workstation. Forget comparing against your dev machine too. Be scientific. Why is the users machine taking 70 seconds? Does it have a slow LAN card? Is it's hard drive full? Does it have virtual disk space?

As he is on C/S, with GB network and minimal data to load, comparing each WS against pure server is not out of line - as his laptop is only 100% slower than pure server compared to 3500% ;-)

More guessing on mangled TCP/IP or network protocol setting myself
