Of course dropping of 32-bit support might occur even before the adoption of a 128-bit OS. Many companies had disabled the 16-bit subsystem on their 32-bit computers because of the potential risk from security holes in 16-bit software. There may be a similar situation where 32-bit apps get cut off in the same way while folks are still using computers running in 64-bit mode.

>128-bit OS won't be commonly available for at least 20-30 years, that's my prediction. Too little profit both money wise and performance wise, way too high cost.

Essentially VFP is in the same status that FPW was in back when 32-bit OS became the norm. Don't be surprised when 128-bit OS comes around and 32-bit support gets dropped.

>>>Ouch. Do you mean people think of VFP as dated or do you mean its abilities are not up to modern snuff?
