John,
Your suggestion to create a form on startup but not show it really does speed up the appearance of the form. In my startup I put the line : do form sellcar noshow. It pops right up when I show it. However, once I close the form by either setting it to visible=.f. or calling the hide method VFP no longer thinks the form is an object. The locals window shows it as .NULL. How do you get around this?
By the way, why does the form get created so much faster in startup?
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
